Simple, useful, and free

Passuno creates long, random, unique passwords without registration, installation, or subscriptions. It is designed to do one useful job well.

How it works

The site uses window.crypto.getRandomValues(), a cryptographic randomness source available in modern browsers over HTTPS. Passwords are generated on your device; Passuno does not maintain password accounts or a password history.

How to use a password

Use a different password on every service, store it in a password manager, and enable multifactor authentication when available. Do not share passwords in messages.

Limits

No password tool can guarantee complete safety. Malware, phishing sites, malicious extensions and unsafe clipboard handling can still pose risks.
